The series spans many decades within the worlds and splits into 3-4 book 'units', each focused on a different main group of characters while still remaining interconnected. Magician and the Riftwar series is a high- fantasy novel series initially based on a young boy discovering his magical abilities (or lack of) in a complex, medivial-style setting with politics, friendship, love, treachery.and aliens.
